What is this site?
MortalSpan Tools is a free collection of online tools. It currently offers PDF merging, PDF splitting, image compression and conversion, JPG to PDF, PDF to image, a QR code generator and a word counter β no sign-up needed, just open a page and go. More tools are on the way.
How are we different from other tool sites?
Just one thing: your files are never uploaded. Most online tools send your file to their servers for processing. Every tool on this site uses technology built into your browser (JavaScript / WebAssembly) to do the work on your own device. Your files never leave your computer or phone, so we simply can't collect, store or leak them. That makes it a safer place to handle sensitive files like passport scans, contracts and financial reports.
There is a trade-off: processing speed for very large files depends on your device. For everyday office-sized files it's more than enough β a trade-off we're happy to make.
How is the site funded?
The site covers its running costs with a small number of ads on its pages. We don't charge users and we don't sell any data (we never get your data in the first place).
