Split PDF
Two ways to split: extract a page range into a new PDF, or split every page into its own PDF and download them as a zip.
Page numbers start at 1. Password-protected (encrypted) PDFs can't be split.
How to use
- Choose or drag in a PDF file — its total page count will be shown.
- Pick a mode: for "Extract a page range", enter the pages you want (e.g. 1-3,5,8-10); or choose "Split every page".
- Click "Split PDF": a range extraction downloads one new PDF; splitting every page downloads all pages packed in a zip.
When it's useful
Pulling out just the signature page of a contract, grabbing a few pages from a long scanned document, or sending different sections of a report to different people — splitting is the quickest way.
FAQ
Q: How do I write a page range?
A: Separate entries with commas. Use single pages (5), ranges (2-6) or a mix (1-3,5,8-10). Extra spaces are fine, and page numbers beyond the end of the document are ignored.
Q: How are the split files named?
A: They're numbered in order as "originalname-p001.pdf", "p002.pdf" and so on, packed in a zip — just unzip it.
Q: Are my files uploaded?
A: No, splitting happens locally in your browser.
Q: Will splitting reduce the quality?
A: No. Splitting copies the original page content as-is without re-rendering, so quality is identical to the original.
